Start Weight: 214 lbs.
Health Issues: Family Heart Disease, Diabetes

March 3rd, 2006: I recently started taking 500 Mg of 98% pure Resveratrol / day. I'll be starting to exercise though I've never really worked out before and am concerned about energy. Working a desk job for the past 20 years has made me lazy & I'm wondering if it's too late in life to really make a difference.

August 21st, 2006: I do not know if the weight loss is common on Resveratrol. I lost 12 pounds in the summer and managed to keep those pounds off and I ate very well (hearty not healthy). I'm down to around 193 pounds weight at 6 feet tall. Been taking Resveratrol for 6 months now. My younger brother died of a Heart Attack end of Jan. I wonder if Resveratrol would have saved him. We were 14 months apart and he looked healthier that I.

December 16th, 2006: I love exercising on Resveratrol! Last night at 11:30 pm my wife did 2 miles on the treadmil and did not eat after. My recent blood test results turned out very well. The nurse told me my numbers were great. I also endured a Thallium stress test and left after one hour and forty five min. Typically the stress test is stressfull enough for one to stay out patient for 3 to 4 hours.

Feburary 7th, 2007: My hormones and cholesterol were last done 2 years ago my hormones were within the low end of normal and my cholesterol was very good. Before Resveratrol my cholesterol was too high and my family doctor was about to prescribe lipitor but after taking Resveratrol my chol dropped to the good range. My nonbeliever wife saw my test results and jumped on the Resveratrol bandwagon. I even offered my family doctor a bottle of Resveratrol, he laughed and told me no thanks he takes echianacea. I find it ironic that my MD takes a known useless supplement echianacea. Next MD visit is in June.

April 1st, 2007: I'm 47 now and my hair grows like a weed. I have a nine inch long ponytail. The mix is mostly grey on top with black hair in the back. I noticed that the grey hairs on top look like they are turning a little bit more black.

I'm not convinced that all the color is changing back now, but I was startled to see evidence that it might be, since I'd thought nothing currently available would do that. I'm probably reading too much into one whisker and the fact that I noticed it four months into using resveratrol. The possibility that I might see an objective and easily observed sign of improvement is one reason why I'm considering upping the dosage

Been on Resveratrol for 1.5 years and loving the effects!

June 25th, 2007: Dr. visit update ... My hormone & cholesterol count are both heading the right direction and I've been given a totally clean bill of health from my MD. Something that I've confirmed with another Resveratrol user is the effects on the liver, my numbers came up so impressive now that I upped my dose. This other person has a bad heart and his liver test results just came in well too. So, I can substantiate that Resveratrol does help ones liver metabolism.

January 5th, 2007: I noticed I was sweating extreme in a winter coat so I dressed in lighter clothes. Definately, I am able to tolerate cold weather. During the winter when the wind chill was 15 degrees outside I wore a summer shirt and a sweat shirt. Made sure my hands and feet were dry and warm with winter gloves and rubber boots. Walked a long distance like a mile in deep snow. I mentioned to my wife that we could do Mt Everest on Resveratrol but the elements would probably kill us. We are not supermen, just able to endure the cold.

Also, I have not had a cold for a year. I felt the start of cold symtoms, but for some reason, I think my body shrugged off the colds in a few hours. My wife caught one cold this year for the first time but the symptoms did not linger. Everyone in our surrounding family caught that cold, but me.

When I look at my blood work I now have a higher number of White blood cells. Maybe they fight infections. I know it is the Resveratrol but who can prove it?

March 11th, 2008: My weight is now 183.5 pounds!! Looks like the larger dose (750mg) of Resveratrol plus Miralax has lowered my weight another 9.5 pounds I have lost over 20 pounds without changing my diet Taking Resveratrol now for just over 2 years I am walking 3, 6, 9 miles everyday If I could drop another 20 pounds I'll weigh the same as when I was a teenager (just a funny thought)
